FUR REAL

Hey Loves,

Hope all is well with you guys. I would like to start this post by thanking you guys for
following my blog. I am truly thankful that you guys choose to follow me and I am committed
to bring you guys more content. I hope that you guys have enjoyed my post and I also
hope that you will enjoy my journey.

Now let's talk trends. I know a lot of people try to stay away from the
because the life cylce is so short lived but I love trends. I agree with the idea of having
classic pieces that won't go out of style but I also love having fun with trends and mixing them
with my classic pieces. They just add a extra spark to traditional looks

One of my favorite trends this season is the fur trend. Not that fur is a trend because it is a
very classic material that has always been in style but the trend of using fur from everyday casual pieces. I feel as if this brings an elegance to a piece that people would normal deem casual.
When we think of fur and sequin, we tend to think of black tie affairs and night on the town out. But this new trend of using these materials as everyday pieces allows us to wear them any time we want.
You can wear it casually with sneakers or dress it up with a heel, I love it!!!

What I have been noticing is that fashion is definitely going more in the direction of
maximizing your wardrobe. We are playing more with taking traditional materials and using them in different ways. Designers and retailers are pushing the evelope of what is normal in fashion and embracing the fact that there are no rules in fashion. This allows more creativity, more individuality and the ability to do your own thing.

Until next time.....

GIRL GANG

Hey Luvs,

It's me again! It's that time of year again. When the weather is acting bipolar
and you're not sure how to dress. In order to not confuse myself too much, one of my rules of
thumb is LAYER, LAYER, LAYER. The reason I love layering is because it allows me to
take things off and add things when needed. In the morning it's usually colder
which requires a jacket or sweater. But later on in the day the temperature
rises and you can just wrap the jacket around your waist
e or throw it over your shoulders.

For the most part, my underneath piece is usually a long sleeve shirt.
But that also depends on the weight of the jacket I'm wearing (i.e. long sleeve with light
weight jacket and shorter sleeve with heavier jacket). This not only helps with me not looking out
of wack but also with maintaining a certain consistancy of comfort. I have a high
tolerance for heat and am always cold so more than likely you would always
see me with some for of jacket close by.

Another thing I love to play with during this time is footwear.
I lovvveee shoes!!! It doesn't matter; boots, sandals, pumps.....I love them all. But
naturally people tend to only wear sandals in the summer and boots in the winter but
what's fun about the transitional season (Spring/Fall) is that you can get away with wearing
anything. Who would think you can wear an open toe bootie or sandal with a jacket?
I can! I love dressing outside of the box and breaking fashion "rules". A pair of
booties with shorts? Why not! For me fashion is all about having fun,
making and breaking rules and introducing who you are
through your clothes.

What are some of your rules of thumb for transiting outfits?
Do you tend to follow fashion "rules" or dress outside of the box?

Until next time.....

CRUSHED VELVET

Hey Loves,

It's finally that time of year......the end of summer beginning of fall.
I am so excited for some of the new fall trends and to play with transitional outfits.
As I've been looking at different stores and the merchandise they have for this season,
I am really loving stretch boots, the 70's inspiration (which I must say is one of
my favorite fashion eras) velvet and puff coats.

One style that I can't wait to try as a transitional piece is SHORTS.
This is so surprising to me because I rarely, more like never,
wear shorts but I'm very excited to incorporate them into my outfits.
For me this season is all about trying new things and
 turning it up a Notch!!!

What are some of your favorite trends for the season?
What are some of your go to transitional pieces?
What are some trends or pieces you want to incorporate into
your wardrobe that you would have never worn in the past?

Until next time.....

Powder Pink

Hey Loves,

Hope all is well with you guys.
Hopefully everyone is enjoying your summer.
I just wanted to share this post of this really cute sheer dress I brought last year at Zara.
It was one of the first pieces in this trend that I saw.

Honestly I shot this picture last summer but never posted it
(hopefully you can see the difference in weight, lol). I kinda forgot about it
but then on the other hand I wasn't too fond of the way I looked in it.
But then I decided that it's cool to show yourself vulnerably.

This picture was one of my motivations to get fit and I have been
on my weight loss journey every sense. It's been a journey,
full of ups and downs, but I'm happy I started. Although I
have a long way to go, I've came a long way and have no plans on
stopping. Okay enough of this rant, I hope you guys enjoy this look.
Feel free to comment on any
struggles you have with weight or insecurities.
Let's chat!

KNOT SO NICE

Hey Luvs,

Hope all is well. I am currently doing some research
and was hoping some of you guys can help me. I am interested in knowing
what you guys like to read when you look at blogs. Is it all about the
pictures and outfit details or do you guys prefer more content?
Are you interested in information post such as how to look for outfits,
how to put outfits together, where to shop, etc? Or would you rather just random
discussions about life? Also what is it that make you follow a blog? Are physical blogs going
out of style? Do you guys prefer more social media interactions and post? Feel free to
comment on this post about what your preferences are.
I really appreciate any feedback. Thanks!!!

TRENCHES OF FLOWERS

Hey Loves,

One of the most important thing to me while looking for
an outfit is the "pop factor". Whenever I'm putting an outfit together, it always start
with the "pop feature". This outfit was created aroung two "pop features",
(1) the trench coat and (2) the pants. I purchases both these items
individually but had the same feeling for both when I seem them. LOL.
Hope you guys enjoy this look! Thanks for viewing this post.

SHEER AMBITION

Hey Loves,

When I'm thinking of outfit ideas it usually starts with
one piece that I love and then I create a look around that piece. When I was in the
store and saw this button down shirt I instantly had to have it.
As I was trying the shirt, this dress caught my eye and
my imagination just went from there.
Being able to put a complete look together enables a confidence t
hat can't be broken.  What are some of your strategies f
or buying clothes and creating outfits?

ALL BADGED UP

Hey Loves,

Today is Friday so let's end this week off strong.
Today's look is a dress layered over a skirt. I am always on the hunt
for clothes that are cross functional. It allows me to always
feel as if I have  something new and let's me maximize
my wardrobe without feeling like I
never have anything to wear. I have always been
one of those people with a closet full of clothes but could
never pull an outfit together or
became bored with what I had so I never had anything to
wear. Now when I go shopping I focus on things I need
as well as thingsthat I can wear in more than one way. I feel like I
am finally getting over my wardrobe woes.

Until next time.....

Keep It Stylish,

XOXO

CAMOFLAGED

Hey Loves,

One of my favorite obsessions right now is camouflaged. I am going
for anything camo now a days and when I saw this jacket I
had to have it. This is the perfect piece that can be worn with almost anything.
Adding a jacket like this can be essential to your wardrobe because
it will turn a basic outfit to an edgy rockstar look,
which I love.

Pleated skirts aren't just for dress up any more!
They are being worn so many different ways from edgy romantic to super casual.
I love the versatility in pleated skirts. I have a few and have played around with different
looks and colors that gives it a totally different look
each time.

With this look I wanted to stick with a more military look. This
boots were perfect for what I wanted to acheive because they remind me of combact boots.
They always add extra flair to my outfits. And the rocker tee just added the cherry to the cake.
I love playing around with different looks and trying to find different ways
to wear clothes to make it fun.

Until next time.....

Keep It Stylish,

XOXO
